I am Nature

Up in the sky as I gently move,
I bring shade to the delicate flowers at noon.

As I pass through with my milky-cotton-like wings,
I softly sprinkle water to the dry and thirsty leaves.

I am a part of ocean and streams,
I make beautiful rainbow beams

When my wings come together, I laugh out loud,
And gush down the water drops like a rod.

Everywhere, I look the same,
Can you guess my name?
Answer: Clouds

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The trees dance as I pass,
The leaves shudder in mass,
I gently comb the tiny little grass,
I look transparent as glass.

Bliss in summer,
A demon in winter,
My presence gets larger,
Across the streams and rivers.

I can appear anywhere,
Without me, there is no cool air,
Carry the aroma so rare,
Catch me! if you dare…
Answer: Breeze/Wind

Has science answered the basic question of life?

Science, a world of complicated mathematical equations consisting of proof of existence of matter and its behavior, able to measure them in terms of quantity, quality etc. When a question is raised regarding existence of life on earth, science has proved it as an evolution. Science has proved that all chemical and biological processes occur as a part of physical process. However, these processes do not prove the existence of consciousness which is treated as an unphysical element. Consciousness/ Soul/ Spirit can all is treated the same in this context.

So, let’s dig at the explanation to the existence of consciousness/soul with scientific and non-scientific approaches.

1) Scientific approach
Scientists say that consciousness is just an attribute of the brain and is a result of neural activity going on in the brain. So, does this mean that the protons and neutrons that are the basic units, generate feelings like love, happy, sad, thoughts etc?

Science says that the smallest and fundamental part of living being is an atom and atom is a just matter. This implies that it is non-living and is mindless.

Physics says that the mass of an object is the sum of all the particles inside that object. If this is true, what is it that adds up to make the soul? Let me explain how science looks at the Soul. Science says that soul is just an electromagnetic plasma which is result of fields of energy coming from our nervous system. When a person dies, this electromagnetic plasma collapses and is released into the space which is seen as "Soul" coming out from the body. But, if this is true, why science hasn’t been able to explain the facts of rebirth? How is it that a person can tell every minute and accurate details of another person who lived 100 years back and whom he doesn’t know? Or are there any explanations to the past life regression therapies that are so accurate? Does science explain that the collapsed electromagnetic energy can again be formed in a different body? This is so whimsical!

Advanced technology has created the robots that can learn just like human beings. But this does not mean that robots can make the decisions even though they are programmed to learn. They can just follow the rules that they have learnt. We learn too, but we make use of our consciousness to make the decisions and judgments even though it is against what we have learnt.

So, what is it that drives the life on earth?

2) Non- Scientific approach
This means only one thing. Soul is eternal and is connected to god (or some supreme power that is beyond our imagination) and created by god, that is just not possible to see/touch/measure/smell/hear which is a MUST for science. I see soul as plasma of cosmic energy that drives the life and animates the body. It is beyond the limits of science and I ponder whether this will be scientifically proved in future.

I will keep updating this post as and when I receive answers in order to clear my understanding on this mysterious topic that has always fascinated me. But still I wonder, has science answered the basic question of life?

Overweight????? then please read.....

Obesity is caused due to reasons like

- Thyroid Disorders
- Over eating
- Low body metabolism

Thyroid disorder may need medical intervention, but the other 2 causes can be prevented.

Overeating - To make a habit of eating within the limits, first try the GM Diet Plan. It is a 7-day course, if completed successfully; will make you lose interest in eating fatty foods. The mind is fully prepared to eat healthy food in limited quantities. You could also start eating within limits if you have a strong mind set up for this. It is better to eat 6 small meals in a day rather than eating 3 heavy meals a day so that the body can digest it properly without converting food to fat. It is very important how to choose portion sizes and the food. Research has proved that it takes sometime for the signal to reach the brain that the stomuch is full. Going for a 30 mins brisk walk after the meals is a great PLUS!!!!

Low Body Metabolism – Metabolism is the process of breaking down the food into energy. Some people are blessed to have a high metabolism rate and they can never ever put on weight even when they over eat because their body is a fat burning machine. The less fortunate people with low metabolism rate can still increase their rate by only one method – EXERCISE AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!!! Exercise is the only way because it starts using the fat stored in your body to convert it into energy. After an intense workout, body is deprived of energy and needs to recover. For this, eat a small snack (not fatty food) within half an hour to restore that energy. It is believed that after an intense workout, body is still in the process of burning fat for the next 8 hours. Doing cardio muscular exercises 5 times a week for a minimum of 20 minutes is very effective in losing weight. This definitely increases the metabolism. There is a saying – “the sooner you lose weight, the faster you gain weight” and this is true. That is the reason the diet plans don’t work all the time. If you are dieting to lose weight, you will be on a diet throughout your life.

War.....

O! you son of hell,
Who made people live in despair.
Ringing the death bell,
turned the heaven on earth to hell.

Every time you come and go,
a forest of dead bodies you sow.
Pleased looking at the blood flow,
and yet, desire for more?

Can’t you feel the stirring emotions?
Can’t you see all this demolition?
Can’t you hear the cries of sorrow?
Under the rain of ashes and rainbow of arrows...

Sounding deeper than a thunder,
do not easily surrender,
you are that bug in the fruit,
on this holy earth, you are the bitter truth.

One day, I was sitting and thinking about the war, terrorism and I am asking this to myself.. Why? Why all this? What has happened to the people? Why are people behind killing their own race? This makes me so sick and very sad thinking of the innocent lives getting killed for no reason.

Gone are those beautiful days............

Gone are those beautiful days...

Listening to bird’s melodies under pleasant sun rays,
calm lake, bright lonely beaches and earthy mountains to gaze,
the whisper of leaves made our hearts sway,
tasted different flavors of life every day.

Gone are those beautiful days...

Giving warm hugs to people we cared,
living happily and troubles were rare.
Future planning was up in the air,
and we were our parent's cuddly teddy bears..

Gone are those beautiful days...

Hanging out with friends was always a fun,
life was not a race that we had to run,
made only friends and foes were none,
Alas! Cannot bring those days back that are gone.

Gone are those beautiful days...

This is the truth we all have to face,
lived happy moments because of god's grace.
Though we all have parted our ways,
all those memories still stays.

The One…

Open the door and feel that breeze,
reach out your hands to an opportunity to seize.
When you are ready to go on track,
nobody can hold you back.

Remember, no one can take your chance,
go for it in your life, to advance.
When disappointment shadows your ray of hope,
You will find the path out when you look inside your soul.

You are free to fly,
It’s your turn to color the sky!
It’s your time to make the stand
And make your dreams and realities go hand in hand.

Mahishasuramardini Stotram

Durga is the great goddess of the universe. She is worshipped as supreme power, who protects her devotees from the evils of the world and removes their miseries. Goddess Durga is believed to be emerged when all the gods lost their power to fight against the demon – Mahishasur. She was created by the unified power of all the gods to kill the demon. In Karnataka, Durga is worshipped as Goddess Chamundeshwari.

Here is Mahishasuramardini stotra that describes how goddess Durga killed the demon. This devotional stotra is written by Adi Sankaracharya.

Life Partner

You are the Partner of my Life,
I am proud to say that I am your wife
You hold my hand at all the times,
You hear me even when I whine.

I see an angel in you,
The way you care me is soo true,
I have learnt the meaning of love from you,
Yes, I want to walk this world with you.

You are my husband, you are my friend,
We will be together till the end,
The time that we both spend,
Makes our love everyday transcend.
